The Cab brought their signature high energy, pop-rock anthems to the House of Blues with Jady and CARR as support.

May 27, 2026 was one for the books. 13 years since The Cabโ€™s last tour, you could feel the excitement and anticipation growing inside the House of Blues. A devoted fanbase waiting for their return, and what a return it was!ย

Opening the night was Jady, an electric blend of rock, indie, and pop that set the tone of the night right from the start. Lead singer Jarrett Dohertyโ€™s stage performance leaned into their hook-driven jams. Dohertyโ€™s movements were guided by the hard hitting rhythms of drummer Ashton Bergdorf. The audience moved along with them matching the intensity. Jadyโ€™s set was intentional and well designed, to get the San Diego crowd on fire and ready for the rest of the night!ย

Second to hit the stage was Los Angeles based CARR. What arrived was an angsty guitar driven alt-rock sound and performance that took me back the sounds of my youth. Songs like Spiral City, Hardcore, and Sick Bro would drive any ex crazy! Pair that with CARRโ€™s witty delivery and you have a super star in the making.

It was finally time for the main eventโ€”one that was 13 years in the making. You could feel the tension in the room ready to snap. The moment The Cab took the stage, the crowd erupted into frenzied applause!

They kicked off their set with the hard-hitting, “Locked and Loaded” off their recently released album Chasing Crowns. The guitar-driven pop-rock anthem was delivered with absolute precision. It was the perfect song to open the night and announce to the world thatโ€ฆ THE. CAB. IS. BACK!

Fans young and old were locked in immediately. Tracks like “Temporary Bliss,” “Back from the Dead,” and “Bad” followed in quick succession, making it clear that no moment would be squandered and the audience was in for a wild ride. Every single song on the setlist was dialed in perfectly, balancing the explosive, high-energy rock show with the powerful yet soft notes of “Vegas Skies.” The performance had the perfect ebbs and flows, adding another layer of depth to an already electrifying night.

Lead singer Alex DeLeon commanded the stage right from the start, bringing the crowd along for the ride. Bassist Joey Thunder sat perfectly in the pocket, locking down the groove with drummer Dave Briggs. Meanwhile, Alex Marshall (guitar/keys) and guitarist Chantry Johnson layered hook-driven melodies and polished riffs that turned fan favorites into massive, room-shaking singalongs. It was a vivid reminder to the Cab faithful of why the band’s signature pop-rock sound has remained so endearing for so long.

They closed out the night with the ultimate fan favorite, “Angel with a Shotgun.” Before the first notes even rang out, DeLeon took one last moment to take it all in and truly thank the passionate fanbase standing in the audience. It was the perfect ending to an amazing night.
