Wolfmother rocked into another dimension at Observatory North Park with Love Gang

A packed house inside The Observatory North Park shook to its foundation on Sunday, July 12th. Australian hard rockers Wolfmother rolled into San Diego on their 20th Anniversary Tour, delivering a high-octane set that proved classic fuzz-rock still reigns supreme.

Denver heavy-psych openers Love Gang set the tone early. The four-piece tore through a blistering set of analog-driven 70s rock, layering dual-guitar harmonies, organ riffs, and relentless speed that hit like Motörhead meeting Deep Purple. They blew the roof off the building before the headliners even stepped onstage.

When Andrew Stockdale and company took over, the room ignited. Celebrating two decades since their landmark 2005 self-titled debut, Wolfmother treated fans to the ultimate nostalgia trip: they played the entire debut record front-to-back. Two full decades later, anthems like “Dimension,” “White Unicorn,” and “Woman” hit with the exact same raw, visceral punch that earned the band a Grammy and defined mid-2000s hard rock.
