Summer Salt Shines at Observatory North Park with Boyscott and Wabie as the Reside Tour Nears Its Final Stretch

The Observatory Nork Park glowed in hues of magenta and electric blue Sunday night as Summer Salt returned to San Diego for one of the final stops on their Reside tour. With only a handful of dates remaining, the band played with the kind of looseness and confidence that only comes from months on the road.

Opening the evening were Wabie and Boyscott, both setting an easygoing tone that matched the headliner’s sunny aesthetic. Wabie’s mellow grooves, soft magnetic vocals and lighthearted interactions with the crowd gradually drew the audience in, while Boycott brought a bright indie energy that had the early audience swaying and cheering along their guitars.

By the time Summer Salt took the stage the room felt fully warmed up. Their signature blend of surf-pop and wistful lyricism washed over the packed floor, weaving together newer material from Reside with the breezy charm that first hooked longtime fans. The crowd responded with effortless singalongs, especially during moments that echoed the nostalgia of Driving to Hawaii, the album they celebrated during their last San Diego appearance for its 10 year anniversary.

There was a noticeable chemistry between band members throughout the set. The crisp rhythm interplay, sparkling guitar textures, and harmonies that lingered in the haze-filled air. Rather than feeling like a tour winding down, the performance carried the essence of a band that felt fully at home, delivering a set that felt both personal and expansive at the same time.

For San Diego fans, it was another reminder of why Summer Salt continues to resonate long after the stage lights fade, carrying that warm, coastal glow well beyond the walls of The Observatory.
