CHVRCHES make an emblazing return to The Observatory North Park

It’s been 3 years since we last saw CHVRCHES in San Diego. We’re so glad they finally returned and graced us at The Observatory North Park.

They opened with “He Said, She Said”, which also happens to be an introductory song on their newest album “Screen Violence”. They then hit reverse and drove us back with “Forever” and “Without a Trace”.

As we progressed into the night, the crowd was not dissuaded as the band toggled between new and old records. The audience showed equal love as we traversed through all of CHRVCHES eras. I can honestly say the band’s consistent delivery of transcending melodies is a welcome comfort in a world of variable change. We can’t wait for them to come back.

Opening for CHVRCHES was ethereal Donna Missal. Donna recently released a new single “(to me) your face is love” and is worth every spin.
