This Canadian indie rock band originally started in 2005 under the name Alphababy. Their most recent effort is called On Blonde and was released last year in June. More info.

Bob Dylan – Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay
The folk legend is playing two shows at Humphrey’s this week. Hopefully you were able to snag a ticket because this is SOLD OUT! Dylan has been an influential force in music for decades and at 75 years old he’s still going strong. More info.

The Verigolds, Inspired and the Sleep, Luneaux – Belly Up Tavern

Front man Peter Michel says he recorded half of the surf pop band’s debut album at his parents’ house. “There are moments on the record where you hear my dad cooking or hammering,” he says. More info.

Prayers – Observatory North Park
San Diego based Prayers has been getting lots of media attention for their dark wave electronic music, front man Leafar Seyer’s affiliation with the Sherman Grant Hill Park 27 gang and cholo goth movement. San Diego celebrity Travis Barker of Blink-182 fame is a fan–he’s their drummer! More info.
