This week, you have a lot of shows to choose from on Friday! Are you going to see San Francisco garage rockers Thee Oh Sees? Or the surf sounds of locals Mrs. Magician? Or STRFKR at the Observatory?! So many choices!

Wednesday, February 10 – Waters – The Loft at UCSD
This is a great all ages venue on the UCSD campus! Upbeat rock group Waters was started by Van Pierszalowski in Norway. His move to San Francisco, California inspired him to create a new sound for his musical project. More info.

Thursday, February 11 – The Donkeys – Soda Bar
The Donkeys are an indie rock band from San Diego, California. Their newest release Midnight Palms is due February 12th. We can’t wait to hear it! More info.

Friday, February 12 – The Oh Sees – Belly Up Tavern
This garage rock band has been performing since 1997 various names such as Orinoka Crash Suite, OCS, Orange County Sound, The Ohsees, finally settling on “Thee Oh Sees.” They’ve added the 2015 release Mutilator Defeated At Last to their list of an ever growing discography. More info.

Friday, February 12 – Mrs. Magician, Dead Heavens – Soda Bar
Mrs. Magician is made up of San Diego musicians with LOTS of band experience. Members have been in Drug Wars, Northern Towns, Boomsnake, Cults and more. The surf garage band almost called it quits late 2013 but were back at it the following year. Glad you stuck around, guys! More info.

Friday, February 12 – STRFKR – Observatory North Park
Started as musician Joshua Hodges’s solo project in 2007, STRFKR is an electronic indie band from Portland, Oregon. The curious name was inspired by what Hodges didn’t want to be apart of: “I was around all these people who were kind of douchey, the kind of people I would never hang out with, and one of them bragged about being a ‘starfucker.'” More info.
