Wednesday, February 24 and Thursday, February 25 – Metric – House of Blues
Metric is doing a double feature in San Diego! This Canadian band just released a HOT new album Pagans in Vegas. Band members Emily Haines and James Shaw have also put out excellent solo efforts and performed in Canadian super group Broken Social Scene. More info.
Thursday, February 25 – Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, Like Pacific – Lamppost Warehouse
Neck Deep formed in 2012 in Wales. If you’re nostalgic for New Found Glory, The Wonder Years and early Green Day, this band is for you! Their newest release Life’s Not out to Get You dropped August 2015. More info.
Thursday, February 25 – Drive Like Jehu – Irenic
Drive Like Jehu was active in the 90s but decided to give the band thing another go after a reunion show at the Spreckels Organ Pavillion in 2014. Since then, they’ve been playing a myriad of concerts and festivals. This show is totally sold out but find a buddy with an extra ticket if you can! More info.
Saturday, February 27 – Diane Coffee – The Hideout
Foxygen’s drummer has stepped out from behind his set as solo project Diane Coffee. It has the same psychedelic feel as Foxygen but a lot more soulful. His full length Everybody’s A Good Dog is full of rich harmonies, catchy melodies and spot on instrumentation. More info.
