It’s a slow week for shows this holiday week. However, the ones that are happening are worth going to! We’re looking forward to seeing San Diego locals Lucky Keith, The Schizophonics and Tuscon’s Louise Le Hir.

Wednesday, December 23 – Louise Le Hir, Lucky Keith, Roger! – Soda Bar
Tuscon, Arizona’s Louise Le Hir plays with a ListenSD favorite Lucky Keith and San Diego locals Roger! If you are a fan of 1960s French pop and Americana, Louise Le Hir will be your new favorite thing. More info.

Thursday, December 24 – Exile on Kettner: Schizophonics – The Casbah
Don’t spend Christmas Eve alone! Hang out with the Schizophonics at the Casbah’s holiday party. We love these locals for their ’70s garage rock sound and frontman Pat Beers’ stage antics. More info.

Saturday, December 26 – Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects – Soda Bar
This band has such an interesting story! Formerly of Black Heart Procession, Paulo Zappoli formed Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects in 2006 after meeting 1950s musician Freddie Dillinger, a.k.a. “Mr. Tube.” Zappoli recruited other local musicians to perform Dillinger’s music that he wrote in the ’50s and called the group “Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects.” More info.

Sunday, December 27 – Gone Baby Gone, The End, Surly Bonds – Soda Bar
Put on your best onesie—this show is a holiday pajama party! Singer Dizzy Collins of San Diego’s Gone Baby Gone has a huge voice and personality to boot. The End from Tijuana and Surly Bonds from San Diego join her and her band. More info.
