Closing out a whirlwind year in promotion of their bombshell debut album, Brightonian-Icelandic punk outfit Dream Wife are embarking on their first headline American tour, crisscrossing the country and celebrating the bad bitch within. Check out our images from the show below!
Earlier this summer, the band put out an open call for submissions from female- and nonbinary-fronted bands from across the US and Europe, in a push to fill their support slots with less of the all-male bands that seem to permeate the rock and punk genres, and to better learn about the unique natures of each city’s local music scene.
For their second date on their trek across the states, local Brooklyn trio THICK joined Dream Wife at Knitting Factory, with Cailin Russo’s new project, LA-based punk RUSSO, following them all the way to The Casbah in San Diego (where you can see them play on October 12th joined by favs The Aquadolls!).
Be sure to catch Dream Wife when they touch base on the left coast – definitely not powerhouses to miss out on. Expect high energy, powerful songs, and an undeniable sense of community and sisterhood. Support your local bad bitches!
