Last Saturday, May 17th, Turnover played the 16th stop of their Peripheral Vision tour, celebrating the band’s 10th anniversary at SOMA. The Virginia based band brought Balance & Composure and Horse Jumper of Love to play alongside the sold out show.

Horse Jumper of Love of Massachusetts set the stage hyping up the audience. The crowd sang along from the very beginning, lulled by lead guitarist, Dimitri Giannopoulos. Finishing off their set with amazing drum solos, by Jamie Vadala-Doran and the strumming of bassist, John Margaris who got the audience ready for Balance & Composure.

The enrapturing performance by Balance & Composure set the audience soaring with their 10 song set. Which started with “Tiny Raindrop”, the band’s top song and led into “After Party”, “Any Means”, “Back of Your Head” and more. As the set came to a close several people chanted the final vocals feeling the suspense of the upcoming headliner, Turnover

It took less than a minute for the audience’s cheers to grow, not letting up except to sing along to every word of the phenomenal band’s performance. They played a near nonstop 18 song set which included two new songs, titled “new one” and “new too” to the audience. The set started with “Cutting My Fingers Off”, “New Scream”, and “Humming” among many others. What appeared to be one of the audience’s favorites was “Intrapersonal” which was written for the wife of lead singer, Austin Getz. In short breaks between songs Turnover repeatedly thanked Balance & Composure and Horse Jumper of Love who all helped them climb the ropes when they started a decade ago. Turnover will continue their massive nationwide tour with more than 20 more stops including their hometown of Virginia Beach. With outstanding sets by all of the bands, you are lucky to experience the magic of Turnover.
