A Lineup for Every Generation and Taste
The festival’s lineup was nothing short of stellar, showcasing an impressive generational and international diversity. Organizers clearly went above and beyond to curate a roster that appealed to a broad audience. It featured dynamic young performers like Charli XCX, Been Stellar, and Horsegirl, alongside well-established and influential acts such as Deftones, Kim Deal, and Chat Pile. This deliberate mix truly highlighted the organizers’ intention to showcase talent across different eras and styles. The lineup also surprised and delighted with acts like TV on the Radio, who played an impressive, heartfelt set, and Los Campesinos!, whose rare touring appearances made their performance a truly special treat. Parcels also drew significant crowds, adding to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
While every performer was incredible, some standout highlights included electric sets from The Dare, Carolina Durante, Squid, and Turnstile. These bands not only drew energetic young crowds but also demonstrated the festival’s commitment to booking a wide array of international music. Furthermore, Primavera Sound Porto went above and beyond to embrace local and regional talent, prominently featuring artists from Portugal like The Blkbirds and Brazil like Liniker, further enriching the festival’s cultural tapestry.
