Jons — “Blood Red LeBaron”

“I imagine driving along the coastline with the top down and with my girl by my side—just as a great night is about to begin. I love the recording quality, the bass line and choice of effects. Jons kills it on this one. I just got their cassette in the mail!”

Jay Israelson — “Conrad’s Theme (Quartet)”

“This is from a movie called The Longest Week. I fell in love with the soundtrack ever since I first saw the the movie. I think it sets the perfect mood for pretty much anything you’re about to do. This music along with the movie created such an elegant atmosphere.”

Aldous RH — “Eternal Affair (Silk Rhodes)”

“Just a straight up lathery track. A very silky smooth homage to Silk Rhodes. I think I overplayed it around my friends so I don’t play it anymore but it’s still absolutely amazing.”

Mndsgn — “paaaannttyyhoooseeee (jessieboykinsiiiflip)”

“PAAAANNTTYYHOOOSEEEE!!!”

Ennio Morricone — “Malena Theme”

“I have not seen the movie yet but I think this may be the most beautiful piece of classical music I have yet to hear. I almost cry every time. I’ve been watching this show called Mozart in the Jungle and it revitalized my love for classical music. The piece was not in the show but I stumbled upon it during the midst of watching it. Bellissimo!”
