Artist: TEMPOREX
Label: Unsigned/Self-Release
Release Date: November 21, 2016
Album Name: “Care”

Fresh out of the San Diego scene, local Soundcloud musician, Temporex, is quickly gaining attention with his debut album, “Care,” recently released November of 2016.

An ode to the bighearted, Care portrays the story of your average nice guy from a hypnotic and capturing point of view. Tracks found on the album, like “Nice Boys,” “Care,” and “Let’s Keep It Virtual,” illustrate the fears and hardships we all hold around love. Listeners can relate to the message behind his lyrics, and matched with the light & distinctive beats, similar to those of Kali Uchis, you really can’t go wrong. The laid-back tempo allows each song to flow through key progressions with a sense of lightheartedness, as Temporex, aka Joseph Flores, depicts the emotional roller coaster that comes along with being dubbed “the nice guy.” (Let me just point out, whoever first said that they finished last, clearly had never met Joseph, because he seems to be ahead of the game.)

A stark contrast to the do-wop surf vibes that seem to echo through San Diego, this album channels a more playful, “dream-pop” persona. At only seventeen years old and not yet out of high school, Flores is already in the works for his second album. With such a positive response to his first, fans are eager to see what this next one holds. Recently featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds,” and acclaimed by none other than Tyler The Creator, this artist definitely has a wicked vision and a successful future ahead of him.

Temporex’s music can be sound across Soundcloud, Spotify, and Bandcamp, a perfect addition to your daily playlist.
