Madison Beer captivated Gallagher Square with her ethereal voice accompanied by Lulu Simon and Thủy

The open air grounds of Gallagher Square at Petco Park saw a display of flawless vocals and spectacular stage design as Madison Beer brought The Locket Tour to San Diego. The venue was completely packed with dedicated fans who created a vibrant, high anticipation atmosphere during the afternoon. From the elaborate stage setups to the incredible supporting performances, the night offered an astounding modern pop production, keeping the crowd excited while waiting for the show to begin

The night kicked off beautifully with Lulu Simon, who immediately won over the audience with her soft, gorgeous vocals as soon as she stepped onto the stage. Performing a delicate selection that featured her opening track and a standout live performance of her single Happy Again, she set a wonderful, melodic tone for the early evening. The absolute highlight of her performance came when she sang a stunning cover of One Direction’s Night Changes, which prompted a massive, venue wide sing along that echoed beautifully across the venue.

Taking the stage next was Thủy, delivering a fast paced, incredibly fun performance alongside two backup dancers. Her set featured a simple but clever use of props like a stool and a moving rack to dynamically transport her across the stage. Showing off her playful personality, she even had a lighthearted segment where she asked the entire crowd to turn their phone lights on while hilariously pointing out the irony since it was an outdoor venue and the sun was still completely out. She played songs like D8, shy boy, roleplay but for her grand finale, she performed her hit girls like me don’t cry and wrapped it up by stepping off the stage entirely to sing face-to-face with ecstatic fans along the front row.

When Madison Beer finally took the stage, she completely mesmerized the audience with a breathtaking, two-story production that was eye catching. The intricate design featured a stunning, rotating small hollow tower-like structure wrapped in a heart-shaped curtain, a two-story layout with curtains concealing her live band at the bottom, and a long runway extending directly through the center of the pit. The show was flawlessly divided into four distinct acts, with each transition marked by beautifully cinematic video interludes and change of wardrobe that added a rich layer of storytelling to the performance. Madison’s vocals were spectacular, effortlessly hitting complex melodies while performing sharp, synchronized choreography with her talented backup dancers. Two elements that at this point are a staple of a Madison Beer concert.

Throughout the night, her witty, interactive humor and deep gratitude toward her fans shined through, making the massive venue feel incredibly intimate. A major highlight occurred when she dedicated a segment of the show to choose the show’s unique song for the San Diego date; the front row was conceded the choice between Follow The White Rabbit and Homesick, leading to the choice and emotional performance of Homesick. Right before the finale, during lovergirl, she made her way down to the barricade to sing directly to the crowd, causing a wave of fans to rush forward just to get an inch closer to her. The evening culminated in a magnificent confetti explosion that completely filled the night sky above the crowd as Madison, her band, and her dancers waved a final goodbye. The setlist was nothing short of amazing, covering from old classics to her newest material in her locket deluxe album, as shown on the image where you can also see how the show was broken down and which songs took place during each act.
