We’re seeing double! The top San Diego concerts for May 9-15 feature a lot of musical duos: Wild Belle, Bleached and Night Moves! Also, end your weekend on a good note at ListenSD’s pool party with the Soaks this Sunday at the Lafayette!

Wednesday, May 11

Wild Belle, James Supercave – Casbah
SOLD OUT! Wild Belle is comprised of siblings Elliot and Natalie Bergman. Their new album Dreamland (released April 15th) is a gorgeous collection of songs that will appeal to any psych pop fan. More info.

Thursday, May 12

Charles Bradley – Observatory North Park
Bradley fits in perfectly with his label Daptone’s revivalist sound. 2016’s Changes recalls James Brown and Otis Redding with Bradley’s soulful delivery. His emotive interpretation of title track “Changes” (a Black Sabbath cover) will bring you to tears. More info.

Thursday, May 12

Bleached, No Parents – Casbah
Garage rock sibling duo Bleached had to reschedule their March San Diego show to this Thursday. Their new album Welcome The Worms takes a dark turn from previous efforts. Read their interview with the San Diego Reader here. More info.

Friday, May 13

Andrew Bird – Music Box
Bird is a classically trained indie rock musician known for his violin playing. His 2016 release is called Are You Serious. We love his song “Left Hand Kisses” featuring Fiona Apple. Listen below! More info.

Friday, May 13

Night Moves, The Verigolds – Casbah
Night Moves was formed in 2009 in Twin Cities, Minneapolis. Their newest release, Pennied Days sounds blithe and carefree, but the lyrics detail challenges during songwriters John Pelant and Micky Alfano’s mid-twenties. More info.

Saturday, May 14

Paper Days, Neighbors to the North, The Paragraphs, Brothers Weiss – The Merrow
It’s a locals night! Carlsbad’s Paper Days plays catchy indie rock that’s easy on the ears. They’ll play with other local San Diego indie rock bands. More info.
