This Francophone from Montreal plays pretty indie pop mostly sung in French. We may not understand the majority of her lyrics but you’ll like her no matter what language you speak! More info.
Tuesday, March 1 – G Burns Jug Band, Homesick Hitchers, The Star Bandits – The Merrow
Halloran from 91X hosts weekly showcases featuring San Diego bands at the Merrow. This week, expect folk, country and little bit of alternative rock! More info.
Wednesday, March 2 – Chastity Belt, Protomartyr – Soda Bar
Chastity Belt is an indie rock band out of Washington state. They’re known for their funny lyrics that often make smart social commentary. Their most recent album is Time to Go Home, released in 2015. More info.
Wednesday, March 2 – The Strokes Nite feat. The Velvet Club – the Office Bar
The Velvet Club and Nite Lapse will play covers of Strokes songs all night long with DJ Saul Q and Mike Delgado playing in between sets. Also check out Chris E’s custom dyed Levi jackets, hand drawn shirts and vintage clothing. More info.
Thursday, March 3 – Waxahatchee – Irenic
Waxahatchee is an indie music project by singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield. The project’s name was inspired by Waxahatchee Creek in Alabama where Crutchfield is from. She just released Ivy Tripp in 2015. More info.
Friday, March 4 – Best Coast, Wavves, Cherry Glazer – Observatory North Park
This show is going to be really fun! Our favorite couple Bethany Cosentino and Nathan Williams are on tour together with their bands Best Coast and Wavves. Cherry Glazer from Los Angeles will open. More info.
