2016 comes to a close this week. Throughout this roller coaster of a year, the one thing we could rely on were good San Diego concerts. End the year with a show–see Mrs. Magician at Soda Bar, Birdy Bardot at The Lafayette or Cherry Glazerr at the Irenic!

Henry Rollins has always had a lot to say whether it was as a musician in Black Flag, in his articles for LA Weekly and Rolling Stone or on the radio at KCRW. Given the current volatile political climate, Rollins probably has lots planned for this show. More info.

Melvins, Redd Kross – Casbah
The Melvins were influential on the grunge movement that came out of the Pacific Northwest. Formed in Washington in 1983, Melvins play heavy rock music ranging from doom metal to hardcore punk. More info.

The Donkeys, Extra Classic – Soda Bar
This local indie rock band is comprised of Timothy DeNardo, Jessie Gulati, Anthony Lukens, and Sam Sprague. They’re one of the San Diego bands making waves outside the city. See their performance at the renowned Seattle radio station KEXP below! More info.
