NEW PHOEBE BRIDGERS SINGLE “KYOTO”
Watch her perform on Kimmel from her bathtub, aka “Live From The Lavatory”
Her second single from upcoming sophomore album Punisher, “Kyoto” is a wistful and meditative tune about imposter syndrome. The song comes with a video of Bridgers and her bandmates greenscreened over iconic Japanese imagery, which was originally set to be shot on her Japan tour but cancelled for obvious reasons.
Here, she performs the new single on a toy microphone and the Suzuki QChord synth from her very own bathtub, which she has appropriately dubbed Live From the Lavatory.
Punisher is out 6/19 via Dead Oceans and will feature cameos from boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker; Better Oblivion Community Center partner Conor Oberst; and Warpaint‘s Jenny Lee Lindberg.

Borne from an idea he’s had for many years, it’ll contain “personal stories, deep cuts, rarities, bootlegs, full albums, EPs, and much more,” stretching for four hours at a time. The first episode is streaming on-demand on KCRW’s site now!
