San Diego’s CRSSD Festival today has revealed the dates for its 2016 Fall edition returning to the iconic Waterfront Park on October 1 and 2
Since its sold-out 2015 debut CRSSD has asserted itself as a forerunner in the North American festival market and a standout date on the international music calendar. Defined by its idyllic oceanfront venue embedded into the cultural hub of San Diego’s downtown, attendees are treated to jaw-dropping sunset sessions, laidback grassy stages, and fountain dips, just minutes away from public transportation.
Beyond the venue, it has been the festival’s forward thinking musical policy that has built CRSSD a place on the world’s stage. By eschewing typical EDM programming, CRSSD has become a North American outpost for premiere underground and experimental DJs, producers, and live acts – the likes of Maceo Plex, Ben Klock, Loco Dice, Nicolas Jaar, Jamie Jones, Jamie XX, Skream, Claude VonStroke, Green Velvet, and Hot Since 82 have been showcased alongside live acts ODESZA, Chet Faker, Gorgon City, Empire of the Sun, Chromeo, Todd Terje and countless more.
CRSSD Festival features a craft beer and mixology program, and locally curated food vendors. As well as a complete after-party experience in local San Diego venues. CRSSD is a 21+ festival.
