Burger Boogaloo once again produced an epic festival for their 10th anniversary at Mosswood Park in Oakland.
Hosted by the infamous John Waters, he delivered introductions for bands such as Amyl and the Sniffers, Nobunny, King Tuff, Shannon and the Clams, and the Dwarves. All while the whole crowd laughed their asses off.
The vibe at this years Boogaloo was something that is very hard to find at festivals these days, an authenticity that any music lover can appreciate. The Boogaloo provides a stage for legends of rock and roll, and heroes that we all look up to: for instance, the Jesus and Mary Chain and the Scientists — fucking epic! This year’s fest also came with new and upcoming bands, mainly from Australia. Not sure what they’re putting in that Aussie water these days, but it’s working. Bands like Amyl and the Sniffers and the Chats, who sold out every show on their first U.S. tour. These bands are not to be taken lightly, and should definitely be on your next Spotify playlist!
All in all, Burger Boogaloo is a rare festival that should always be attended, early bird tickets are now on sale for next year, get em while they’re hot!
