Buddy Banter’s new EP, I Am Nothing brings to mind the space rock of the late 90’s that Failure perfected.
With blended atmospheric landscapes drawn from present day bands, lead singer/drummer, Steven Oria’s vocals (did I mention he plays drums standing up while singing?!) add grit to each track. Songs like, “Hello, Goodbye” have driving drums with lead guitar work (Kevin Glenn) that creates the urge to repeat. “I Am Nothing” is an instrumental gem that crashes towards the end of the six song EP before slowing it down on “American Hearts”. The album goes by quick and digests quite nicely. A killer release from the local boys!
