The Adicts’ rowdy spirit ignites the Observatory North Park with Lowerclass Brats and The Drowns

Alongside opening bands Lowerclass Brats and The Drowns, British punk rockers played a sold-out, one-night-only show at the Observatory North Park on Thursday, May 29th as part of their four-stop U.S.A. tour.

The Drowns killed it, playing renditions of well-known hits like β€œBallroom Blitz” and β€œNazi Punks Fuck Off” in company with their own bangers, this vibrant trope had no problem kindling the flame of excitement in the crowd. Bearing their hearts to the world, high-spirited Lowerclass Brats didn’t hesitate with their bold and lively performance. With a taste for theatrics and a true punk rock spirit, there was no better band to set the stage for The Adicts.

With groove in his moves and tricks up his sleeves, lead singer of The Adicts, Keith β€œMonkey” Warren, alongside his bandmates Fletcher Shears (Drums), Mel Ellis (bass), and Pete Dee Davison (guitar),  put on a show unlike any seen before. With circus-like props such as an umbrella filled with confetti, an inflatable mug of beer, a giant heart-shaped balloon, and even inflatable eyeballs alongside confetti disguised as Chinese takeout, the band entraped the audience’s minds and held onto every second of their attention for their entire hour and 20-minute set. Through their conjoined passion, whimsy, and insanity, it was clear that The Adicts understand the power behind stage presence; their mischievous antics encouraging others to embrace the effervescent thoughts that flavor the mundane.

While The Adicts ended their U.S.A. tour in LA on May 31st, they’ll be playing at Punk in the Park in Portland on June 28, then at The Showbox on June 29th in Seattle.
