Texas Is The Reason‘s Nostalgic Set at The Observatory North Park
Everyone waited thirty years for this tour. Fans of Texas is the Reason excitedly entered The Observatory North Park, waiting just a few hours until seeing their favorite album, Do You Know Who You Are? I went in, camera ready, and prepared to watch their openers, Slow Joy and Ted Leo.

Slow Joy’s sound had an uplifting aura, their lyrics were positive and their guitar had a very shoegaze sound to it. Delay pedals and all, their performance was overall excellent for this crowd. I would definitely recommend seeing them live!
Ted Leo, an inspirational solo artist, sang beautifully. He played melodic guitar and delicately sang his lyrics. The room felt still and tranquil, a calm and peaceful atmosphere right before Texas Is The Reason took the stage.

Texas Is The Reason took the stage, everyone knew what they were going to play-one of the most influential albums in music! Do You Know Who You Are? influenced bands such as My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and Paramore! They, of course, featured everyone’s favorite songs, Do You Know Who You Are? and Back And To The Left.
