Snow Strippers ignites the passion at SOMA with Anna Luna, Ksuuvi, and Evilgiane
We’re at the tail-end of Snow Strippers‘ North America tour, but that doesn’t mean the party is dying out. Snow Strippers are an energetic duo from Detroit, Michigan formed in 2021. They consist of record producer Graham Perez and singer Tatiana Schwaninger. They rose to online prominence with their initial albums, April mixtape (2022), 2, and 3. It is a challenge to pin them to one genre as Graham Perez implements his love for rap and Tatiana Schwaninger ties in her love for J-Pop. All blending together to create what the duo likes to be described as EDM.
Anna Luna hit the stage first with the lovely immediate energy to the night. From just the first song the whole audience was already jumping in excitement. The phenomenal stage lighting setup provided amazing backlighting and colored strobes that gets your heart pumping. Following her Evilgiane came out to DJ his incredible mixes to an entranced audience stretching all the way to the back of the floor. By this point many were screaming at the sight of Ksuuvi now coming on stage to add one more layer of anticipation for Snow Strippers. Ksuuvi stayed right at the edge of the stage for his whole set being super interactive with the audience. There was not one person not enjoying the bouncing off the walls energy of Ksuuvi.
At this point I could not even hold back my anticipation for Snow Strippers set. The duo came out to an explosive audience, starting with “Just Your Doll.” It was obvious that no one was able to hold back from the spectacular songs by Snow Strippers. I don’t know if it was the bass or the constant dancing of the audience, but it felt like the whole world was shaking. Snow Strippers led on with their packed set of 30 songs playing their all time hits, like “Under Your Spell“, “It’s A Dream (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)“, and many others. By the end, it was euphoric, the audience still begging for more. Snow Strippers created an atmosphere that felt larger than the venue itself. It left everyone in the audience’s ears ringing and minds replaying the night days after.
