Michigander brought his over before you know it tour to Voodoo Room with Chapel

On October 11th, Michigander brought his tour to the Voodoo Room at House of Blues San Diego alongside Chapel. The room was packed with dedicated music lovers whose enthusiasm filled the space from the moment the doors opened. Creating a welcoming environment that celebrated community and civic engagement, the artist notably hosted a voter registration booth at the show, offering a meaningful political statement and an opportunity for fan action that few acts provide.

Kicking off the night was Chapel, who brought a refreshing blend of fun, infectious indie rock to the stage. The band had a fantastic time engaging with the crowd, who danced and vibed along to their upbeat melodies. A standout moment was when the entire venue raised their hands in unison to follow the rhythm of the music, creating a unified wave of motion across the room that gave the evening an amazing energy that continued through the night.

When Michigander took the stage, the crowd let out a roaring cheer as he launched into an amazing, energetic start with selections like Giving Up, Misery, OBYK!, Let Down, EC!, In My Head, Oh Good!, YYY, Important, Float, Better, I’ll Be OK, Taxi, Starting a Band, and Good Things. He frequently joked with the crowd and invited them to participate by clapping or raising their hands to the beats. Transitioning to his keyboard to slow things down for a mellow, intimate middle section, he expressed sincere gratitude to the room, stating, “Thanks for coming to a small show and supporting live music,” before standing back up behind the microphone to reignite the room’s momentum.

The undisputed peak of the evening arrived during Freaking Out, where the crowd chanted at the top of their lungs, bringing the venue’s collective energy to its absolute highest point. Balancing deep vulnerability with infectious an energy, the performance left an indelible mark on everyone in attendance.
