Alice Cooper and Judas Priest’s Striking Headline at North Island Credit Union Ampitheatre

Judas Priest, one of the most influential bands in metal, took the stage in San Diego on October 18th, 2025. No one was truly prepared for the show they were about to experience.
The crowd was filled with a vast range of ages; you could see people from 10 to 80 years old rocking out together. Grandparents, mothers, and children all gathered to see these talented individuals—who famously hail from England!
Co-headlining was Alice Cooper, a fellow rock icon who always puts on one hell of a show!
For the photographers, the night started with a thrill. We each received an envelope with our name on it, featuring a transparent Judas Priest logo. Inside were not one, but two special media passes: one for Judas Priest and one for Alice!
First, Alice Cooper took the stage. His stage production had an incredible twist: during “Feed My Frankenstein,” a massive, stilt-walking Frankenstein’s monster, resembling Alice himself, towered over the band members’ heads.
Each guitarist showed off their own unique playing style, and all of them unleashed impressive solos. It’s safe to say, these musicians are the real deal.

Then, it was time for Judas Priest.
Before they even hit the stage, they paid tribute to their dear friend Ozzy Osbourne by playing “War Pigs / Luke’s Wall” by Black Sabbath. Of course, the crowd knew exactly what legendary band this was, and the entirety of the North Island Amphitheater sang along.
The lights dimmed. The drummer sat down and kicked off the set with a bang. Out came the stars of the show: Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Richie Faulkner, Ian Hill, and Scott Travis.

Rob Halford has the voice of a wizard. Yes, it’s as badass as it sounds.
His high notes are effortless and clean. His clothes are studded with spikes and various sizes of metal embellishments, and he wears matching leather gloves—iconic outfits designed by the lovely Ray Brown. The flowing hair of the other band members, their decorated guitar straps, and their silver jewelry were just the icing on the cake.
From start to finish, both Alice Cooper and Judas Priest proved why they are timeless icons. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a masterclass in metal. San Diego witnessed a truly legendary night.
