That’s exactly what went through my mind the moment I pressed play on the second single on Hideout’s upcoming album, So Many Hoops/So Little Time, scheduled to drop February 3rd on Small Plates Records. The lively and upbeat “I Got Your Message,” will have you hooked after the first twenty seconds.
The song slowly fades in with a simple techno-esque key progression, that is, until the vocals drop, layering on the accompanying guitar and percussion tracks that round out the song. Once that first chorus ends there’s no going back–this is the type of single that gets stuck in your head for weeks to come.
