Gang Of Four provided one last grand Entertainment at Music Box

Closing in on half a century as a band, Gang Of Four brought The Long Goodbye tour to a sold-out Music Box for a solid couple hours featuring Entertainment in full followed by a Best of the Rest second set.Β  With an enthusiastic crowd singing along to every song, singer Jon King shared several amusing and insightful anecdotes in between, further cementing the band’s place in their fans hearts.

With original drummer Hugo Burnham back behind the kit, all the hits sounded just as punchy as the albums, if not more so.Β  Ted Leo (Citizens Arrest, Chisel, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists) on guitar provided the proper balance of classic sound with just enough of his own brand of gat magic.Β  Gail Greenwood (L7, Belly) wrangled the bass lines like a seasoned pro which, of course, she is.Β  All four band members beamed throughout the show, giving off and reveling in the pure, positive punk energy of the evening.
