Freya Skye lights up Cal Coast Open Air Theatre with Alex Sampson
Freya Skye’s “Stars Align” tour stopped in San Diego, California. This show took place on September 20, 2026 at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre. The tour supports the recent release of her EP “Stardust.”
The night kicked off with opener Alex Sampson. Not too long ago in 2024 he made it to the semi-finals on season 19 of America’s Got Talent and had his own headline tour this past spring of 2026. He sang his hit songs such as “Pretty Baby” and “Misery.” He also performed a special cover of “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.
During “There She Goes” he jumped down to barricade to hand the microphone to fans to sing along with him. The girls faces lit up with joy. From his stage presence to interacting with fans, Alex Sampson brings amazing energy to all of his performances. Freya’s fans were dressed in shades of blue matching white to go along with her “Stars Align” tour theme. At just 16 years old Freya Skye sold out the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre.
Ticketmaster also states on their website that “Freya Skye is contributing $1 per ticket sold to PLUS1, a 501(c)(3), to benefit Active Minds in mobilizing youth and young adults to lead a transformative movement in mental health, forever changing how it is valued and prioritized in society.” This is wonderful that she is giving back with her tour sales.
Freya Skye sang her hit songs such as “Silent Treatment” and “Bad Taste” as fans sang along with joy. It was wonderful to see so many young girls bonding over a shared love of Freya’s music, making new friends in the audience.
Freya stated “My heart is very full and my heart is very happy” as she described the home-like feeling she feels from the crowd on tour. She then sang “London” as that is where her home is and her set rotated into a more home-like setup with a living room. Fans lit up the stadium with their phone lights singing along emotionally.
Additionally she briefly discussed that she’s working on a new album and sang one of the songs called “Effortless” that she recently wrote. This song describes the love she has shared with a person who isn’t in her life anymore. She says it shows the real fairy tale feelings we get to experience in life.
