FKA Twigs Provided a Body High at The Sound SD with Izzy Spears

On April 9th, 2026, FKA Twigs would bring the Body High Tour to The Sound in San Diego and show the audience what a true performer looks like. Following the November 15, 2025 release of her new album, Eusexua Afterglow, Twigs embarked on a 23 date tour to promote said album. This show had everything that an FKA Twigs fan looks for in a concert. From classics like “Cellophane” to new energetic hits like “Sushi”, this show never skipped a beat.

To start the night, Izzy Spears opened with immense energy, getting the crowd ready for what was to come. Spears is an incredible performer and was able to create a vibe that blended perfectly into FKA Twigs’ following performance. The crowd’s energy was unmatched, as they reciprocated what the artist commanded. People danced, yelled, and had an amazing time. The red flashing lights seemingly turned this show at The Sound into a rave. It was incredible to see, but nothing could prepare the crowd for what was in store next.

FKA Twigs came out at around 9:15 pm, starting the night with “Mirrored Heart”. Interestingly enough, she was then joined by Izzy Spears on stage, who acted as her hype man, dancer, and part of the whole experience throughout the night. Doing as good a job as he did as an opener, he kept the energy high throughout the night. FKA Twigs went on to sing many more songs during this nearly 2 and a half hour performance. These songs include “Tears in the Club”, “Perfectly”, and “Sticky”.

Speaking of the crowd, it is more than important to note how good the energy was at The Sound. It is safe to say that San Diego knows how to have a good time! The lack of phones, intense engagement, and zero need for directions from the artist proved how much everyone was enjoying this show. There was dancing, yelling, singing, constant applause, and eventually tears. FKA Twigs had many costume changes, and during these times, gave the incredible dancers a moment to perform! The vibes were high, and no one wanted the night to end.

However, as the show came to an end, FKA Twigs did three of her biggest songs. These were “Two Weeks”, “Striptease”, and “Cellophane”. These songs felt like a ballad moment for the artist, as she was wearing a beautiful dress and giving it her all. “Cellophane” is when the crowd broke down. Most beautifully of all, there was complete silence. Everyone knew that this moment meant so much to FKA Twigs and gave her the time to shine. The artist pole danced in the middle of the song and even began crying. It felt as though we were a part of an art piece, which we probably were.
