Fitz & the Tantrums brought a packed Red Rocks Amphitheater to their feet on Saturday, October 6th.

Fitz and the Tantrums

The “neo-soul” band headlined this year’s annual Jeep on the Rocks concert in Morrison, Colorado. Fitz & the Tantrums got their start in 2008. They gained live popularity from their energetic performances, and are perhaps most recognized by their singles “Out of My League” and most recently “HandClap.” The undeniable chemistry between co-lead vocalists Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs captivated the crowd from the their opening track, “Get Right Back.” From that point forward, the two showcased a dynamic that could only be described as playful as they interactively moved around the stage.

Opening the show, Walk the Moon was announced as the “very special guest” that would be sharing the stage Fitz & the Tantrums. The Ohio-based pop rock band kicked off the show with an animated performance that set the tone for the rest of the night. This opener was nothing short of energetic. Various attendees noted their surprise that Walk the Moon had not just given the headlining set of the night.

Fitz & the Tantrums, joined by Walk the Moon and Moontaxi, knew exactly how to warm the Red Rocks crowd up as temperatures began to dip considerably for the first time this fall.
