Charli XCX Delivers an Iconic Performance at Viejas Arena with Underscores

Charli XCX’s “Music, Fashion, Film Tour” made its way to San Diego, California on Wednesday October 14th, 2026. The show took place at Viejas Arena on San Diego State University’s Campus.

The night started off with opener Underscores. The singer-songwriter and producer blends genres such as hyperpop and electropop creating a hyperactive dancing atmosphere. The audience was jumping to the beats of “Unlimited Love” and “Hollywood Forever.” The crowd lit up their phones to “What A Girl Gotta Do.”

Charli XCX entered her multi-level stage with flaming fire around the set. She said “It’s Charli Baby,” representing that she owned the stage in her black stilettos before singing “Apple.” Fans knew every lyric jumping to the beat as they screamed their hearts out. Charli’s first outfit change of the night happened right before “Track 10.”

Next, she got the crowd hyped up to sing along with her hit “Girl, so confusing.” Her backup dancers rocked the stage with their choreography the whole night!

Charli XCX paired with a charity for a set amount of tickets every show to support the transgender laws. Ticketmaster stated, “A limited number of charity tickets will be available in the first 5 rows of each venue. Charli xcx will be donating a minimum of $200,000 from the sales of the Charity Tickets to benefit Transgender Law Center, to help with their mission of ensuring the right of all transgender people to make their own choices and live freely, safely and authentically. “Silver Cross” was her surprise older song for the San Diego crowd. Although at sound check the crowd heard her sing “Boom Clap,” everyone seemed to loved this choice.

One of her fans, Dustin, said it was his first time seeing Charli XCX live and described the night as “Iconic!” He loved the usage of her catwalk on the stage, especially the in sync choreography with her backup dancers.

She created a super unique atmosphere of underwear raining down on the crowd like confetti during “Guess,” which features Billie Eilish on the track. The crowd waved their hands in the air to the beats while trying to catch the underwear props!

“You want to party with us or what!” Charli said, which perfectly fit with the vibe of the night. She had multiple party outfit changes, raising the energy for the crowd throughout the night. With their hands in the air, screaming the lyrics, and dancing the night away the crowd had a wild concert experience!
