Bôa astonishes at The Observatory North Park with Dead Sullivan

Supporting their newest album Whiplash, British rock legends bôa ensnared The Observatory North Park with Dead Sullivan. Sold out and jam-packed, this memorable show was another degree of impressive.

Duster-esque, Dead Sullivan has that modern grunge sound down to a T. Reminiscent of bedroom pop yet entirely rock, their nostalgic, modern sound sets them adjacent to artists like Alex G.

Bôa was softer than velvet with a heavier undertone. Bringing a modern revival of true unfiltered rock, their lyrical mastery, compositional skill, and instrumental knowledge seeped through into their performance. Lead singer Jasmine Rodgers was truly jaw-dropping in her song. There was a deep yet delicate edge to her vocals, with long tones and intensity impossible to mirror; her voice is what truly sets the band apart. There is a weight to bôa’s music unlike any other.
