Together Pangea

Garage rockers together PANGEA provided the perfect setting for one chaotic show at the Irenic.

Dehd was the first band to get the crowd going. The Chicago trio have just released their debut full length album Water, mostly about a messy break up between the co-lead singers, guitarist Jason Balla and bassist Emily Kempf. You don’t hear many bands stories like that, but the energy they played with was unreal, and genuine.

Up next was Vundabar, who really set the crowd off the hinges with their catchy post-punk sound. When they announced this show would be the last California show for awhile, everyone took full advantage, and gave them the appreciation they deserved after every song.

Then there was together PANGEA, a band who can send any crowd into a wild frenzy. Almost immediately mosh pits opened up, and kid after kid was catching some massive crowd surfing waves. The band even played some old songs like “Blood, Blood, Blood” from their first full-length Jelly Jam, released back in 2010.

They play Santa Ana on June 28th for their last stop of tour, trust me its quite worth the drive to experience this wild line up.
