This singer-songwriter’s blend of rock, pscyh and folk is pleasing to the ears. Since 2002 Cass McCombs been slanging kick ass albums and most recently, he’s released a new full length called Mangy Love. More info.

Of Ennui, Big Bloom, The Change in Colors – Shaper Studios
It’s the Of Ennui EP release party! Shows at Shaper Studios are awesome–despite it not being a proper venue (it’s a surf shop by day) the sound is excellent and video is usually taken of the local shows they throw. More info.

Crystal Castles – Observatory North Park
This experimental electronic band from Toronto is known for their explosive, chaotic shows. Their most recent album Amnesty (I) just dropped last month but unfortunately does not include singer Alice Glass. She departed the band in 2015 citing disagreements with her band mate Ethan Kath. KAABOO Music Festival – Del Mar Racetracks
San Diego has been begging for its own music festival ever since Street Scene sadly ended. KAABOO held at the Del Mar racetrack hopes to fill that void with chart topping acts on their lineup. More info.

Highasakite, Small Culture – Soda Bar
If you can’t get to KAABOO this Sunday, this is your next best bet. Highasakite out of Oslo plays mesmerizing music with surrealistic lyrics and passionate vocals. More info.
