Lucero from Memphis, Tennessee plays music that’s a mix of soul, rock, and country. Get there early enough to see opener, Esme Patterson! Her soulful voice will give you goosebumps. More info.

Weyes Blood, Fatal Jamz – Soda Bar
Weyes Blood is the dreamy project of singer-songwriter Natalie Mering. She’s released three studio albums including her most recent: Front Row Seat to Earth (2016). More info.

Crocodiles, AJ DAVILA, Keepers – Hideout
Originally from San Diego, Crocodiles is a two piece garage rock band. Expect distorted guitars and catchy hooks. More info.

Erkyah Badu – Observatory North Park
Also known as Erykah Abi Wright, Erykah Badu is a R&B singer, record producer, DJ, activist, and actress. Her Observatory show this Friday will be an experience you’ll never forget as Badu is a legendary performer. More info.

The Coathangers, Zig Zags, the dabbers – Casbah
The Coathangers are bold from their punk rock sound to their band name. Their latest album, Nosebleed Weekend (2016), was released on Seattle based Suicide Squeeze Records. More info.

Surfer Blood, Prism Tats – Soda Bar
We were sad to hear Surfer Blood bandmate Thomas Fekete’s death last year. It’s great to see the band has continued playing music, however. Their newest release is called Snowdonia and it’s out this year. More info.

If you can make the trip up to Los Angeles for this festival, do it! So many siq bands like Major Lazer, Flume, Zhu, Atmosphere, and more! More info.
