KALI UCHIS ANNOUNCES NEW EP OUT THIS FRIDAY
To Feel Alive is her first release since the 2018 debut Isolation
While she can’t deliver an album at the moment, Kali Uchis isn’t one to disappoint. She announced via Instagram yesterday that the EP will be comprised of demos recorded in her bedroom.
The Columbian-American singer released her critically-acclaimed debut album Isolation in 2018, and a standalone single “Solita” late last year. To Feel Alive is her first EP since 2015’s Por Vida.
The cover art is Oh De Laval, and Uchis describes it as “the isolation era of me eating the por vida era of me’s pussy.”

Musicians are turning their leftover merch into masks
Fighting coronavirus, one screenprinted t-shirt at a time
With shows cancelled for seemingly the rest of 2020, many bands are looking for other ways to pass the time. (They are human like the rest of us, after all.) What do leftover merch lying around and too much free time on your hands make? Masks, apparently!
Bands such as My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday have donated fabric to organizations such as MusiCares, Face Mask Warriors, and Sew You Care to benefit those working under pandemic conditions.
Watch the video above to see how to turn your own merch (or any other leftover fabrics you have lying around at home) into your own masks, to wear yourself or donate to the cause!
LiveNation presents more ways to help behind-the-scenes staff
Musicians aren’t the only ones in the industry battling this out
The world’s leading live entertainment is offering support to the countless wonderful crewmembers who work behind the scenes to make every concert and festival possible. LiveNation have commited a total of $10 million to CrewNation, the benefit set up to support those not currently working under pandemic conditions, contributing $5 million to the fund and then matching the next $5 million given by artists, fans, and employees through donations and merch sales.
They have also compiled artists livestreams, new music, and more in Live From Home to keep artists connected to their fans and vice versa.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters is a masterpiece that transcends conventional pop forms and teeters on the edge of collapsing altogether. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Their third single from the upcoming Do You Wonder About Me? (their third album, out May 1st via Frenchkiss Records), Diet Cig dedicates “Who Are You?” to anyone moving on from false or lame apologies. Take those bad feelings and turn them towards this fun and upbeat song to dance in your kitchen to!

Marie Ulven, aka girl in red, the Norwegian queen of melancholic bedroom pop, delivers us a new single in the form of “midnight lovers.” The song pays a classy ode to fuck buddies in an age of unanswered booty calls (for good reason, mind you) in her smooth and sophisticated pop.
Sawayama
Rina Sawayama
Japanese-British pop singer Rina Sawayama is among the great amount of musicians (and people) wishing to re-escape to the 2000s in a Y2K throwback album. Her biggest references are Timbaland, the Neptunes, and “heavier Britney stuff,” and it shows in a wonderful way.
