Joyce Manor is an American rock band from Torrance, California, formed in 2008. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Barry Johnson, guitarist Chase Knobbe, bassist, and back-up vocalist Matt Ebert, and drummer Pat Ware. Joyce Manor's sound is in the way co-founding guitarist Chase Knobbe can somehow make a song sadder and tougher at the same time, or the way Johnson mixes minor and major chords to invoke a precise kind of overpowering melancholy.
