Ella Vos

Ella Vos gave an incredible performance at Belly Up Tavern in support of her new “Watch & Wait” EP, released earlier this year.

Ella Vos first popped onto the pop music scene after releasing her hit single “White Noise” on Soundcloud, which found viral success. An album, festival gigs, and a national tour were quick to follow. Spotify billboards of Vos in Time Square underscored the rapid success of the pop darling, as well as finding herself on Spotify-created playlists across the world.

For those unfamiliar with Vos’s work, her lyrics are an exploration of the uncomfortable or hard circumstances we find ourselves in and the beauty and strength that can be found in them. Following Vos’s journey is a crash course in finding beauty and strength in difficult situations, as just about the time of the start of her first tour, Vos was diagnosed with cancer. Through treatment, Vos leaned into songwriting to process the new season, leading to beautiful tracks on her new EP such as “Temporary” and “Ocean.”

The show was opened by upcoming Swedish artist Clara Mae. Clara Mae’s music both an energetic pop experience rich with sweet sentiments. For those that fans of the likes of Bea Miller or Olivia O’Brien, Clara Mae is going to be your new go-to. From covering the original “breakup with you boyfriend, i’m bored” – Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” – to a medley of her own heartbreak hits, Clara Mae covers heartbreak in a way you can’t help but dance to.

Ella Vos finally took the stage, giving a beautiful performance of hits such as “You Don’t Know About Me,” “White Noise,” and “Little Brother.” Vos even gave a cover of Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over.” For those who haven’t seen Vos live, she owns the stage and easily goes from emotional piano ballads to pop bangers, keeping the audience with her at every moment. Vos’s music and performance takes the audience on a journey through emotions hard and wonderful, all while being a picture-perfect vision of grace and strength.
