Cage the Elephant, Portugal The Man, Sunflower Bean – Valley View Casino
Here’s a bunch of alternative rock goodness! Cage out of Kentucky has new catchy music–we especially love the single “Mess Around” off of 2015’s Tell Me I’m Pretty. Portugal The Man from Portland and up and coming band Sunflower Bean will open. More info.

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic – Belly Up
SOLD OUT! George Clinton and his band are legends in the funk genre. First reaching popularity in the 1960s, Clinton has played with his band Parliament Funkadelic and collaborated with the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kendrick Lamar. Read an interview with Clinton on San Diego music blog, Owl and Bear. More info.

SUUNS – Casbah
SUUNS’ new album is called Hold/Still and was released in April on Secretly Canadian. We love their psych and electronic influenced rock music and think you will too! JJUUJJUU will open the show. More info.

Cherry Glazerr – Irenic
This trio caught the attention of Burger Records before they even got their high school diplomas. We love their sweet but dark lo-fi garage rock with lyrics about alien princesses and grilled cheese. Learn more about the band in this interview with the band’s namesake KCRW radio host, Chery Glaser. More info.

The Whiskey Circle EP Release Party – Musicbox
Support local bands! The Whisky Circle from San Diego will play with four other local alternative rock bands to celebrate the release of their EP, High Deserts. More info.

Gotta love that band name! This indie rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan just released a new album called White Hot Moon on Run For Cover Records. See them at the Irenic–a church by day venue by night. More info.
