Are you feeling the post-Halloween blues? Perhaps going to a concert will lift your spirits. This week, The Aquadolls, Yelle, and The Front Bottoms are playing San Diego.

Monday, November 6

Noname – Observatory North Park
Noname is a poet and hip-hop artist that got her start in Chicago. She counts fellow Chicago artist Chance The Rapper as one of her collaborators. Check out her mixtape Telefone (2016)–it’s 🔥. More info.

Tuesday, November 7

Yelle, DJ Skullcrusher – Casbah
One of Yelle’s most popular songs is “Je veux te voir.” It’s more or less a diss track to fellow French artist rapper Cuizinier of the group TTC (the lyrics mocks his sexual prowess). Yelle has a couple new singles out now that are almost as good as “Je veux te voir”: “Interpassion” and “Romeo.” More info.

Wednesday, November 8

Hovvdy, Holling – Soda Bar
Hovvdy’s music is chill, but not simplistic. Their newest album Taster was described by Pitchfork as accelerating “past a snail’s pace, but its interlocking pieces are deceptively complex.” More info.

Friday, November 10

Aminé, Towkio, Amon – Observatory North Park
Aminé is a hip-hop artist best known for his song “Caroline.” He just released his debut album Good for You this summer. More info.
